Silverback Rifles Review (SRS + Tac-41)

Apr 20, 2022

Silverback SRS A2 16"

The Silverback SRS A2 came out in 2020 and was an improvement from the A1 with many different features such as an m-lock rail and being much lighter than the A1.

This is a great platform for sniping for many reasons.

It has a wide variety of upgrades available from Silverback themselves, EdGi and many more.
You are able to change your SRS from being extremely short (G-Spec) to a 22" barrel depending on your preference.
It's easy to disassemble and understand. If a quick adjustment is needed at chrono or even on the field, most can be done fairly quickly.
The SRS is one of the few platforms which performs well out of the box. Many Airsoft snipers on the market need upgrading to get a good performance however, the SRS can be used with no or little upgrades.

Unfortunately, there's one negative I have had which I believe was just an unfortunate occurrence. I had a rather scratchy cylinder against the receiver which made a very difficult bolt pull. However, this was a simple fix by upgrading to the EdGi Cylinder and Bolt handle.

Depending on personal choice, the A2 comes with plastic mags which are lightweight to carry but if you prefer something more firm, the mags for the A1 which are metal also work in the A2.

I'd give this product a 9/10

Silverback Tac-41

The Silverback Tac-41 came out in 2021 and is similar to an SRS but in a VSR type body.

This is a great platform for sniping for many reasons.

It's easy to disassemble and understand. If a quick adjustment is needed at chrono or even on the field, most can be done fairly quickly and parts for this are stored inside the stock.

I've not yet come across any negatives about this sniper. Some people had an issue with the feeding ramp and inserting the mag, however, this was due to incorrectly putting the mag in. Silverback have already come up with a solution for this and created a new feeding ramp which was sent out by Longbow free of charge to all those who already owned a Tac-41.

I'd give this product a 9/10
