Kydex TAC-41 Mag Pouch
Ok, so I’ve never been one for using kydex pouches for magazines. I’ve always put them in my front pouch of my rig and used them like that. However, Kydex Customs have converted me.
They’ve created a magazine carrier for the Silverback Tac-41 magazine which holds up to 44 rounds so it fairly small and compact. These are available in three different colours, OD, black and tan.
The carrier itself is made with great quality and care. It is easy to attach to your belt and isn’t too big that it gets in the way. It is also adjustable. This means it has two screws on the side which can be tightened or loosened as to how much tension the individual would like on their magazine on inserting or removing. I feel like this is a great feature as throughout time, if the pouch began to get a bit of wear, it could be tightened up to maintain good grip of the magazine.
The Tac-41 magazine can be fairly sensitive to ejecting the bbs stored inside, however, with the pouch, even putting the magazine in so the exit for the bbs goes in first, it’s made so no pressure is on the magazine to allow bbs to fall out. This is handy with the Tac-41 being able to take such heavy weight bbs which cost a bit more.
I have used this carrier for a number of skirmishes now and not yet come across an issue. I’ve not lost a magazine or had it cause a delay in reloading my sniper.
